Description
Make a beautiful and functional piece of your own during this 1 day workshop with painter and potter Pat Posillico! Starting with the bisque fired clay form, students will be guided as they hand paint their own original designs to decorate their olive oil cruet. Student work will be clear glazed and fired by our team and ready for pick up within a few weeks!

Description
Come learn the language of weaving with artist Linda Schultz during this 1 day workshop! Students will learn all about the art of small-scale weaving using a 3" x 5" cardboard loom. Linda will guide students through different weaving stitches and students will leave with their own small weaving! All supplies are included for this workshop (but participants are welcome to bring their own yarn!). Linda Schultz is a retired art educator. She holds an MS in art education from the State University of New York, a Certificate of Completion from the Art Farm Gallery for studies in Chinese Brush Painting and a Certificate of Completion as an Expressive Arts Education Facilitator from Salve Regina University.

Description
Let your creativity flow! Paint freely with dyes (using brushes, squeeze bottles, or folding techniques) onto large sheets of tissue paper. Allow the "magic" to happen as the dye flows, leading to wondrous patterns that mimic nature. Choose a favorite for a sketchbook cover, or use your papers for unique gift wrapping, hang them in a window to glow with sunlight, or incorporate them into your art making practice. This class will settle your energy and allow for intuitive, colorful art-making. All instruction and materials are provided for this workshop.

Description
Experience the magic of Indigo dying with simple shibori clamping, tying and stitching to create beautiful patterns on silk, cotton, or hemp fabrics with artist Kathy Klompas during this 1 day workshop! Shibori is a Japanese tie dye technique dating back to the 8th century. Fabric bundled by stitching, clamping, or binding with twine yields distinctly beautiful patterns when dyed. The uneven lines created by this method are a visual representation of the Japanese belief in the beauty of imperfection. Indigo is the natural plant dye our denim jeans are dyed with. Each student will have the opportunity to dye approximately 1.5 yards of fabric, so collect some items such as a cotton t-shirt, vintage lace, and linens. Fabric to dye must be of natural fibers such as cotton, linen, hemp, viscose, rayon, or silk and works best if prewashed, Students may also use napkins and kitchen towels that will be provided, as well as silk scarves you may purchase directly from the instructor ( ranging approximately $6-$12).
